Mission Statement

The mission of the Friends of Green Street Park (FoGS) is to promote physical fitness for the youth by offering recreational opportunities designed to promote self esteem, respect for others, and social responsibility while also helping them develop a positive self-image, enthusiastic attitude, greater self-awareness and constructive peer interaction all in a safe and secure area by creating skate terrain appropriate to the diverse ages and skill levels of those who skate.

​Public Meeting

March 24, 6-8pm

 

 

On March 24 from 6-8pm, Friends of 

Green Street Park will be holding a public meeting in order to gain insight from community residents on what they would like to see at Green Street Park. Light refreshments will be served. This meeting will be recorded and will continue the momentum for the project!

Great news on the forefront of the Skatepark Project!

The Wal*Mart Local Community Grant Foundation has chosen to give $2,500 to S.A.W.! W are another step closer to making this project come full circle.

 

About Friends of Green Street

Friends of Green Street Park is in partnership with the Waterville Parks and Recreation Department as a non-profit. Mayor Karen Heck fully supports and backs this project along with other local businesses who have already helped including Gagne & Sons Concrete Company and Cives Steel. We strive to improve the recreation area of Green Street Park so any user feels they are in a safe place to recreate.
